Code: ; ARFKILL.ASM - 116 Bytes FASM DOS TSR example ; B.S.: BlueScreenOfDeathEx (BSOD) in DOS AKA AbortRetryFailEx killer This will permanently disable the annoying Abort Retry Fail "feature" of DOS (comparable to BlueScreening of Windoze) ![]() It's a TSR, and probably the smallest TSR ever (file size 116 Bytes, resident size 48/32/0 Bytes, depends how you measure). Program in DOS, cuz it's stable & easy.
Run your programs on a machine that boots to a CD. So your programs can not mess up any operating system or it's hard drive. DOS is a good environment for making little quickie .COM files to do special tasks. File manipulation, searches, copy, paste, merge, or parce a phone book. An old DOS machine types just as well as the best server. No new virus problems. No money grubbers. All the DOS source code is available for free now. The plus's just keep coming. |
