Hi:

Nice - not been following Fresh for the lately. Just checked it and couldn't get the examples to work until i installed some of the older versions of Fresh. Some of the files are missing in the new version of Fresh. Could you check?

Cheers.

I forgot to update examples when I changed layout of macro library. They will be fixed in next release (that is comming soon).
Quick fix: open example file and replace lines similar to
Code:
include '%finc%/win32/win32a.inc'

with
Code:
include '%finc%/win32a.inc'

Is the Fresh discontinued? Despite that it doesn't work properly, I appreciate the very idea.

BTW, can I participate in the project?

Hi,
Unfortunately last year I had some changes in my life so now I can't sacrifice enough time to continue this project. I'm still around here but I can't develop Fresh anymore.

Perhaps releasing the controls to the volunteer that you trust the most will help finish the project.

Perhaps there will be in the future. This project could be continued or started afresh (if you'll excuse the pun) if fasm itself received more popularity, as more demand for an IDE would increase.

i think there are few worthy IDEs.

Fresh isn't written very well, and rewrite from scratch would be nice. Even Decard wanted to do major cleanup on that. (and use FASMLIB Sad(( )

My opinion is: better concentrate energy in 1 IDE...
Fresh & FasmW....
A big project will be great thing...is there anyone that can organize it?
Also rewriting using FASMLIB....but someone who control developping and release....
If Tomasz, you (vid) .....I have some code by FASMWNG....

problem is Fresh was gonna be overfeatured win32 IDE, while fasmw is lightweight sourcecode editor

Hi... I just tried Fresh on my Piii450mHz w/Win98se. It looks pretty good but when I click on a menu button my screen becomes garbled. I don't know if it's a fresh bug or weather it's a monitor bug. My monitor is an old digital VGA-PC compatable one and the current resolution is VESA 1024x768 FH-56.55kHz FV-70Hz. The monitor is plugged into a NVidia G-Force4 4000mx 64Mb @ x2.

Has anyone else had this problem?

note. I have seen this monitor do some wierd things in the past when plugged into this card when running linux.

Just any old menu, or a certain menu?

Today when I clicked on "options -> editor options" it garbled up again. This monitor has garbled up on me before in the past ( w/linux ), but when it does I just power off the monitor and then power it back on and the screen comes back just fine. I'll try the new version and see what happens. This is what led me to believe maybee fresh-ide bug?

Just by looking at the gui i can see that fresh is a nice basic ide to use, although i wish i could use it!

I'll download the new version and give it ago...

[off topic]

I think I should find a new monitor for this piece of poo. It beats having to unplug monitors from my other computers 'n' stuff around ect... just to run a program.

If your monitor being turned off and back on fixes it, then it's probably not the program. It might not even be the monitor. It is probably the drivers for your video card, or maybe even the card. I think i have teh same video card as you (too lazy to check) and never had problems. Though, i saw problems before on some one else's with an older card when the program they were using wanted a screen resolution that the drivers couldn't handle. Try updating the drivers.
