while reseraching something for fellow FASMer Rookie, i came across these two intresting articles i thought others here might enjoy:

You know,that's really cool. I was thinking that I could edit my own
COM files in a hex editor. It would still be a pain though in comparison
to writing the ASM source. Have you ever hex edited the save files of
games? It's not all that hard if you're looking for a number like the
experience points of an RPG.
