Hi! Do you have some info on making games in assembly, please? I'd like some links with sources and tutorials.
Please, easy sources, cause i'm newbie in graphics.
For both win32 and DOS.
Thanks!

You can download my "windows game programming for dummies" examples here:
ftp://68.225.35.57/
you will need these files
FASMWIN - Windows-DirectX examples Jul-15-05.rar -> The main archive
WINDOW GAME PROGRAMMING FOR DUMMIES - ANDRE LAMOTHE Jul-15-05.rar -> The Examples

There is a simple game in chapter 12 called starferret, very minimal, and no sound. There is anther game in chapter 16 but it doesn't work yet.

I'm learning SDL programming in C. I find it quite easy. Can I use this lib in FASM? How?
I'm also interessed in ASCII game programming in ASM.
Thanks!

Hey, I know of a very good DOS game: Paul S. Reid's Space Invaders clone (invadr11.zip, TASM/MASM source). There are also some other good games with sources at the URL below (although not necessarily in ASM):

http://ftp.lanet.lv/ftp/mirror/x2ftp/msdos/programming/gamesrc/

P.S. I just tried it in DOSbox 0.63, so I suspect it'll work even on a Mac. Smile

EDIT: It does! I tried it on a Mac OS X PPC (via DOSBOX 0.65) although it was a tad bit too slow. Cool

Matrix, did you ever get it to reassemble? Confused Oh well, here's my (wimpy) port to FASM below (needs sed). EDIT: (old INV2FASM.ZIP is kludgy, see here for more accurate translation)
