the resulting exe size is 58kb (with only 12kb or something acctually code's+resources size.

only two things i have:
1. pack it with fsg or upx 2. DON'T USE MUSIC IN PATCHER (imho, it is very irrationally) |

What a nice ideas
 Or may be... use music in patchers and keygens pack them with fsg and use minifmod some proper way and have 8 kb exe ? As you can see the music iz 7kb icon iz 900b logo is 9kb length... and the uFMOD with fasm is 40kb instead of 5 kb as it's say on fmod.org

MiniFMOD adds about 10K, not 5K, as it says on some websites. You need to remove some unused chunks of code using FEXP and compress the resulting exe with UPX/FSG to get 5K of actual footprint.
BTW, uFMOD is almost twice tinier and adds about 5K without any compression. The problem is that uFMOD has not been completely ported to FASM. It beats MiniFMOD only in MASM32 and VC++ so far. The FASM example uses an unoptimized dump. As you can see, there's a minimal.exe, 6K in size, included in the last release. The XM used weights about 2K... Uncompressed exe is exactly 9K! The uFMOD teem (Asterix, bogrus and your humble servant) is working hard to release a complete FASM version ASAP. |

try mew11 as compressor sometimes that is better than fsg.
however with both of them i have had various problems. however try both, and if they dont work try upx. upx always works |

I've only seen it used at "Bad" places, and I find it very annoying at legitimate places (firefox plugins help, but still).
