In the meantime, backed up by the 'XLibre is still being actively developed' citation I did (which hurts someone's souls here deeply), I ended up with 5 more examples on libxcb, all of them working (and quite simple, might I say), against 0 examples posted from the Wayland "lovers".

How about some good code examples on Wayland guys, to show us that simplicity you're talking about? I'm expecting it. It's so easy to deal with Wayland that you guys can't simply showcase a simple window code (in assembly, of course) on it!

Just to clarify: I have - so far - nothing against Wayland, because, to me, with a modern AMD64 machine, it has solved many of my touchscreen issues with X. I myself only can't deal with some "modern" decisions this implementation has.
I'm only against its dull fandom polluting someone's post (that has nothing to do with Wayland, by the way).

People do what they want, but sometimes it is worth to post a little reminder of where things are going before investing serious time and effort.

Here, I have to admit, it went a bit overboard, almost AI troll grade, all that because of some obvious bad faith about wayland.
