Interesting project, your HEX_EDIT OS.

In fact, the project was needed to create bootable images using purely fasm tool. I never got to the FAT32 implementation.

Use F1 for help.

macomics, apparently this video mode is non-standard, as a result of which the font has shrunk in height. Have you tried installing your own font int-10h AH=11h ? A large collection for MS-DOS in *.fnt format can be downloaded from here: http://old-dos.ru/index.php?page=files&mode=files&do=show&id=6039

@Core i7, of course I tried. This is how Russian fonts work for me. And this mode simply truncates every other line (the char size is 8*8, instead of 8*16). This is one of the standard VGA text modes. There is also an 80*43 mode (the char size is 8*9).

You can switch to these modes using the standard mode from DOS.
Code:
mode con lines=43
mode con lines=50

Maybe your HEX DUMP would be best moved to your own POST instead of changing the subject in my POST. I find HEX DUMPS almost useless, and it was one of my first .ASM projects as a NEWBEE, decades ago.
