Hi all.

After long time without releases, here is one of the last releases in the v2.x.x series.

I mean that the new development will be slowly shift more to the v3.x.x series.

The changes in brief:

  • The main change in this release is the final transition of the FreshLib to the new GUI architecture. Some of the old interfaces are different now.

  • FlatAssembler compiler has been updated to the version 1.73.12.

  • The syntax highlighting of the editor is improved to support user defined keywords for coloring.

  • Two builtin fonts, especially suitable for assembly programming has been added to the editor themes.

  • More extended tests has been provided on Windows 10. As a result, the editor rendering and the overall stability has been improved.

  • The included examples has been revised and fixed to compile with the latest FreshLib libraries.

  • Of course the usual bug fixing and new bug introduction has been made as well.

As usual, download from the Fresh IDE download page.

The source is in the Fresh IDE source repository.

Happy coding with Fresh IDE.

Hi, on attempting a download, Win10 is reporting a "Virus or malware" in both the v2.7.0 setup file and the v2.7.0 ZIP archive.

Obligatory comment about antivirus being useless and harmful piece of software these days.

Sorry for this problem.

Currently there are issues with Fresh IDE repository and the false positives of some AVs. These are the regular problems with the AVs and assembly language written software.

Currently the whole source repository is down. I will try to fix this issue with the AVs and bring it back ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Although, the source repository mirror on http://chiselapp.com/user/johnfound/repository/FreshIDE/index is up and running, but will not be updated for some time.

I have reported this false positive to several AV providers and it seems at least some of them already updated their signatures. Although, this is a regular issue with the assembly written software - obviously, the AV developers can't assume that in such small binary can be contained useful software. Laughing

Anyway, for all Fresh IDE users - the project is maintained in a highly controllable DVCS, where is simply impossible some source code to be injected.

I am preparing the release packages on a Linux machine that is also very unlikely to be infected by malware.

All the downloads on the Fresh IDE web site are from the special binary fossil repository. And every file in the repository is controlled by a SHA-2 checksum. The files is impossible to be replaced or altered, even if the whole web site is hacked.

So, I have re-enabled the fossil repositories. If some of you still have false positives from the AVs, please report the files to your AV provider for verification and AV database update.

I'm trying to make something useful with the FreshLib of 2.7.0 right now, but I want to hide the titlebar of my TForm. Do ObjTemplates support that?

Yes. The property "border" of TWindow class. Set "border = 0" or "border = borderNone" in the template.

P.S. But also, notice, that the GUI part of FreshLib is in very experimental stage. Something useful is possible to be created, but it will be probably buggy and will break in the future. Keeping some backward compatibility in the GUI part of the library is almost impossible.

The other parts of the library are more or less stable though.
