Hi folks. I'm trying to send signals thru the serial port. I don't know whether i'm doing something wrong, but at the initializing stage, immediately i give the OUT instruction to, say, write the initializing byte to the Line Control Register, my software shuts down. i use port 0x3fb. Could i please have a solution or a reason, thanks.

Are you reserving the port access?

Take a look at ppp.asm, that writes to the serial port.
Or terminal.asm.

Cheers,

Mike.
