Well Many of us have created OSes (at least ASM guys),
And here's mine (CLI mostly), borrowed some code from MikeOS (BASIC Interpreter,ELF Loader, Serial Ports), rest all written by Myself
Joshua's MEMEDIT running under my OS :

The CLI :

So let's see what you have made.......
[May it be a simple OS, But yeah if it's an OS, then AWESOME Cool]

Here you go, full multitasking and a very basic java vm... Very buggy though... This screen shot was taken a while ago, but really all that's changed is more under the counter features, and this one was already uploaded so...

Cool Dex4u!!
I think there is a really great and huge potential for your DexOS!!

In fact, I just joined your forum several days ago.
Is DexOS under BSD or GPL license?

@Dex4u
Dex Server is pretty cool, and the Dex GUI is sleek,
Although for most people writing an OS in assembler is a overkill,
But you proved that a lot of awesome stuff could be done only using assembly.......
Did you release any new versions this year? Planning for new stuff?

Thanks sid123, my new ver is porting DexOS to ARM and the raspberry pi.
I also used it to help people code bare metal on the raspberry pi.

Cool! I saw your page. Are you planning to implement "IF" and "ELSE" in DexBASIC. It would be cool after that. Then we could write OSes in BASIC! That would probably make developing on RPi a heck lot easier, Also the OS would be easily portable, Porting it to another architecture would involve changing a bit of functions and 1,2,3! the OS would be ported to a new platform. I see no problem in using this for my OS. Also I guess for tough work you could always use assembly, and the rest DexBasic does it!
Also I got a simple Window Manager Working: (Haven't Released it yet)

Cool that looks very nice, i did not add "if else" etc, as i think its just as easy to use assembly for that.
But one of our team members (timfv) did add them see here:

Old ARM OS/Bare-Metal examples.

sid123: If-else macros? To my knowledge, I'm the first/only one in this community who makes real macro language/s: .if/.else/.while/.repeat/etc for X86+ARM, aside from the macros included with FASM+ARM. For years, I've searched this message board and have not found any good runtime macros so I had to learn/write everything by myself. By this time, I've contributed 1,000s of unique macros.

Dex4u: What's up? Cool
Quote:

Do you even know what a macro is? I wish you would learn the absolute minimal essentials of macros. Or just use the ones provided by experienced programmers.. Whoever wrote your macros doesn't know what they're doing (search DexBasicTFV for "then"), although beginners may be impressed. You have users in the RPI community convinced that you're an authoritative figure on the subject of macros/languages and they're using the imm32 macro for byte values which produces an extra 3 instructions, 12 bytes. It would be best to use macros written by experienced macro writers like Tomasz, revolution and me. I present code with the hopes that someone like you will distribute it, but you must be able to recognize quality. If you want to give credit, use the name "Unknown Artist".

Good luck!
