The libc version should work fine under a Mac..
All you'll have to do is link the fasm.o object with a linker.. I dont know if macs come with gcc/ld, or if you have to get it seperately.. But yeah, if you follow the same(ish) instructions as the BSD build in the libc version of fasm, then that should work for macs too (since it is internally a BSD kernel, and the whole system itself is basically a modified BSD with a new/shiny GUI (no offence mac users ![]() I havent tried it (dont own a mac), but I see no reason why it shouldnt work.. Edit: Actually, found this thread under the Unix heading: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=9954 Looks like its a little more work than just linking the object.. however, it looks like its not a huge amount of effort and rthelen wrote a nice post on how they did it which you should be able to follow. rxantos also posted on page 2 of that thread with instructions on how to do it using a third-party tool to convert the object.. it may be easier or not.. but two ways for you to try. |
