1. Is there some documentation on FASM IDE internals or history around ? There is a documentation of assembly editor core, which is used by both the DOS and Win32 IDE version of FASM (and possibly other operating systems in future): First posted in 2006 January Post in "AsmEdit control", [Docs direct download (obsolete, TXT)], later revised with the release of DOS IDE in 2006 December Post in "FASMD - early preview", [Docs direct download (obsolete, TXT)], and further updated in 2014 July to editor version 3.11 beta Thread: "flat editor 3.11", [Docs direct download (ZIP)]. Some history of the FASM editor: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=16274 "flat assembler 1.71.17" in Main 2014-Jan http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=16239 "Loading an exefile only once" in Windows 2014-Jan 2. Alternative versions of FASM DOS IDE Made by DOS386 (has [F1] support, but currently obsolete, based on IDE from 1.67.29 release). 3. Alternative external IDE's Links to the external resources. Wiki "texteditors.org" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Moderators feel free to edit & enhance, non-moderators post inclusion candidates as answer.
