I feel the same way about your questions:

CLS = CLear the Screen

should be clear everything on the memory of the current screen mode.

never mind my question got answered over at osdev, oh and dosin, i knew that one of my answers to my main "question" would have a comment along with the answers, and by the way, i know what cls is. dosin if you have a problem, just pm me what it is. i will fix it, as long as you pm me it. im not trying to get anyone mad, i know some of my questions can be dumb and time wasting, but please just try to answer it, nothing else. i have no grudges against anyone especially no you dosin, i just want an answer, if i can under stand it, then give me a link to where you found it, or just explain it to the point that a beginner (me) can understand it

No probs -

The post was kind of blunt .. To get the best help you should be more specific... It will help you get better answers..

cls - is not a standard...

and would help to post were you got the code.. You will get quicker answers...... or post a sample..

cls in the minidos... may not be the same cls in other code you find..

Thats why I asked...

plus for all we know - it could have been something found on the net.. that would erase your disk drive..

anyone could make a funtion named cls- though its not a good name.. but you never know... and you ran it thinking it was a clear screen..
Ya! That would not be good... So be careful... not everything on the net uses the same names for there functions... plus not all clear screens will be programmed the same way... could even posible destroy your graphics card..

and nothing was meant - just a little sarcasm... Wink

cool, im glad everythings alright, i was reading the broken thorn tuts yesterday night (very interesting, took forever to get me from the screen) and i found out that i should get away from rmode as good as i can, if one of my programs crash, the whole system goes with it!!
