I allways look forward from hearing from you DOS386... Wink

But anyway - I have a lot of video in mpeg format - and have a couple of devices that can run mp4... no reason other than that! Very Happy

Though I did find one program that I may get...

its: 4u MP4 Video converter

seams to work good - with out loss of picture quality or sound! Very Happy

That's impossible. Well you may not get any loss but you certainly not get any higher quality. So it's a waste (mp4 is designed for better quality).

I suggest next time you want to encode to MPEG, encode to xVid -- it uses same algorithm (decoder) as MPEG4 but it is open source and the best quality for encoding IMO (better than DivX and a little better than Windows Media Video).

I know, but I thought he got the videos encoded somewhere, or maybe downloaded them. If such try to find an "xVid" version of it.

Suggest MP4 or MKV container with MPEG-4.10 aka AVC (not ASP!) + AAC for audio. And use for sure profiles compatible with DXVA.
