What's going to happen to that journalist? Any idea?

Forget about the journalist, I want to know when bush is going to be charged with the heinous crimes against humanity he and his christian hate mongers are responsible for. A rope around his neck would surely be a great sight too see.

There were rumors he had "disappeared", taken by security/secret services. But it was later revealed he was in Iraqi custody. His family and the TV station he works for demanded his release. Very unlickely since he might be imprisoned for two years.

Yep, sounds about right, 2 years for throwing a shoe. I would hate to think what he would get for something really serious like running with scissors, or not eating his vegetables.

Something is seriously wrong with the world, people need to lighten up and learn to laugh at themselves.

Udai al-Zaidi, brother of the journalist from al-Baghdadiya, said Muntazer faced a jail sentence of between two and seven years for charges that may include attempted murder.

Quote:
" My brother Montazer al-Zaidi has been brought before a judge for preliminary investigations, and risks from two to seven years in prison, " his brother told Arab TV network Al-Jazeera.

Quote:
The journalist has become a hero to millions of Arabs but he has reportedly been nursing a broken arm and ribs as well as cuts to his face while in detention, according to his brother.

He could possibly get USD 10 million for one of the shoes, offered by a wealthy Saudi.

As for sentencing I get the idea the defense team are trying to play down the incident and ask for leniency, apparently they have video proving it was just a case of the journalist "starting off on the wrong foot".

I wouldn't want to try doing that down the aisle on a commercial flight, if you can even get them on board that is Wink

Hey Rev, are you a South Islander?
