I kind of do not like the gui. Personally I prefer the verison coded by Crow16384, much more friendly gui.
http://board.win32asmcommunity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12524 Of course keep up the good work. |

hm, this one was reported rarely. I was finishing game in hurry so i probably left out something that crashes on particular comps (but works on mine and on every i have access to (unlike tg2d)). I am not going to fix this one, i'd rather play with tg2d, sorry, you wont play my game

Hi ! Harry
for push you have to be in front of the box and the tense arms. Which Windows version have you, win98? Friendly...Gges |

harryturtle: game was coded in fasm only, i can mail you my development directory, i would post it but i has almost 2mb (includes all graphics twice etc.). How far are you now (levels 1 is only heatup, lvl2 is forerunner of next levels, 3 and 4 have too long passages but are good, and then it starts! The bug occurs only on very few systems, otherwise i would have found it before final version. Also check data\config.ini to some setup (and level skipping

Nice project. Do you plan to share some sources here? It seems you would be able to give us some very nice samples of programming simple games in assembly.

i can give you sources if you are interested. But i don't think 300kb sources will be useful, and they are not good, because project has changed during it's development so there are at least 3 styles used, and some parts are done in hurry so they are made very confusingly etc.
But if you want them, i will make some fixes and release them. Note there is a bug on some systems, and it's fixing will take few tries as i dont have systems where it occurs (same as with TG2D) |

If you don't have anything smaller, we can use this one - but you would have to try make this source "friendly" for beginners (with some small project it would perhaps be easier, at least wouldn't require such a lot of work).

i don't think this source will be usuable for beginners. There are few nice ideas which i could reproduce. I am sending you sources, you can decide as you wish.
I think these sources can be used as example that bigger project can be made without problems in fasm too. |

what drawing routines are you using. DirectDraw's. In then cases do you store bitmaps in video memory & restore them on task switch? If you are storing them in RAM then directdraw's routines are too slow.
(btw, ddraw's routines are always too slow for 32x32 pictures) |
