Read the doc in the zip archive. You need MS-DOS driver for CD-ROM and MSCDEX or compatible for thing to work.

You can take a look at my CLI CdPlayer that can talk direct to your hardware (no driver needed), that includes the eject command, it comes as a com and a bootable ver.
But if run under Dos It needs real dos not a dos box.

To be more specific, in 32-bit Windows you don't need any driver for the MSCDEX code to work. You need driver only in plain DOS.
