Recently I have been manually making all my links blue and underlined. Some people have also started to do the same. And I think it makes things much clearer to have the links appear differently from ordinary underlined text.
There is a simple way to set the board to do this automatically. The file "templates/phpVB2/phpVB2.css" has the templates. If the following lines are added to the css file then automatically all user post links appear as blue and turn red when the mouse hovers above. Code: a.postlink { color: #0000FF; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; } a.postlink:hover { text-decoration: underline; color: #E23E3E; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; } I think the forum looks much nicer when the underlines look like underlines and links look like links. ![]() Last edited by revolution on 29 Sep 2008, 06:09; edited 1 time in total |

I don't mind about current version, but also wouldn't mind about blue ones

Second time today, I find myself in agreement with revolution. Holy Cow. Anyway, it is unclear to me, whether or not this change is something we all need to implement, or if this is a change required of the forum software, i.e. outside our individual responsibility. If I must change my links, manually, by myself, I wish to announce that my feeble mindedness which is all too often apparent, has recently spiked again, and consequently, I confess that I do not understand how to employ these two identifiers: Postlink and postlink hover. Can I impose on someone to provide a single illustration using these two commands in html?

Oh, sorry, this is a server change that only Tomasz can implement.

If you all would like to see a change like this then perhaps Tomasz would be willing to consider it if enough people were in favour. I haven't asked him, I am just hoping that he may consider it.
I have converted this thread to a poll so you can easily vote. That way you don't have to leave a comment if you are short on time. |

If possible, it could be made user selectable.
