Evil or Very Mad I know.
It just complains about an incorrect password. I can change other settings, just not my email address.

You're mad because I correctly answered your question? Smile Good to know that for next conversations.

Sorry. I'm mad at the board, not you.
When I try to change my email address, I get the message 'The current password you supplied does not match that in the database.' whether the password was right or not. Am I doing something wrong, or is changing your email address not allowed?

Your email address is the only way to reset your password. That is why your password (the correct one) is required to change your email address. It is a type of security.

Yes, but even if I give my password, it still gives that error! Sad

I had that same problem a while back and wrote a PM to Tomasz. There was no reply from Tomasz but then the next day I tried it again and I was able to change my email address (with the correct password of course). So perhaps there is a setting in phpBB that the admin can set/reset that allows changing the email address.

But whatever the solution is I suggest you PM Tomasz and see what result you get.

Well, today I was logged out and tried to login but it kept saying "wrong username or password". This was until about 4 hours ago. I just now was able to log in.

Can you change your password? Maybe some bots have discovered your password and using it so you better find a strong password. After you have changed your password you may be able to change your e-mail address too.

Sorry, that's my fault - when I changed the algorythm of password storage to use per-password salt, I forgot to update the profile editing script. I'll try to fix it soon.
