I can answer from the position of Fresh.
When I began Fresh project, I used the standard FASM macroses and equates. But when the project was in progress, some problems arised, because of the size of the project. At first it was the problem with the libraries, where not every procedure is used. It lead to new procedure macroses (stdcallEx.inc) The second problem was with data declarations and optimisation. As a result globals.inc file appears. If we talk about macroses there are almost no any other differense between FASMW and Fresh. Now Fresh is in pre-alpha developement stage and some things possibly will be changed. (Well, they seems to be stable since a few versions, so maybe changes will be not big.) Actually I think that Fresh versions of stdcallEx.inc and especially globals.inc are better than these from FasmW package, but Privalov still maintain them because of compatible reasons. Regards |

btw, I wrote a small documentation about writing applications with FRESH macro library. You can find it there: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=766.
