Yeah, this is a very powerful and haunting melody, really "epic". Smile I think that it could be compared with the well known soundtrack from the movie "Das Boot":

I like such claustrophobic submarines movies.
I'm afraid of drowning. That's has to do with it i guess.

There is also a classic hit "Das Boat" (1991) a techno/dance-version of the film's title melody.
U96 - Das Boat

The next composition from Vangelis, album 'Oceanic' released 1996.
Warms my heart everytime i listen to it.

Vangelis - Memories Of Blue

Impressive piece of music, makes me calm. Very clear sounds - I listened to this melody with a great pleasure. Smile

These versions differ in the instrumental arrangement. Sweet and sentimental melody is in Cantonese one "supported" by very dynamic and strong instrumental background. Japanese version is more sophisticated and delicate IMHO. But, from the other hand, singer's voice from the first song is much better. Smile

I think that your recommendation could be compared with this song of Polish singer Irena Santor (some info):And something else on the marine theme Wink :

Now something completely different. Here you have one of the first Uzbek songs I listened to in YouTube almost 3 years ago. I think there is no need to explain why I liked this clip, hehe Wink :Very Happy

First of all, here you have something new by Austin Blackburn, the saw player, recommended by a wise man earlier in this thread:

O Mio Babbino Caro

Ave Maria

Silent Night

O Sole Mio

Feedback to your recommendations will be posted later.

I liked especially first (piano demo) and fourth ("Harlem") versions of this song, because it's specific, "dual" and anxious rhythm is most remarkable there. This rhythm resembles sounds of the heartbeat and flow of the blood in the veins. Wink

Besides, the "Harlem" version is more "delirious", makes listener somehow distracted what is, in this case, a big advantage. Very Happy

Yeah, seems that musical saw has a big musical possibilities, is very flexible (in both meanings, metaphorical and real). Wink

I like "Ave Maria" and "O Sole Mio" (where we can observe ecstatic convulsions of the cello player Laughing). In these performances we can got to know how wonderful musical saw is. There this sheet of cold, hardened steel really "sings" like a human. Very Happy

Yeah, my mind seems to be tuned to the Anthony Wong's voice frequency, hehe. Wink

I have a feeling that I've listened to the first song already. Anyway, it's a very beautiful, calm and joyful melody. The clip, inspired by M.C. Escher's drawings, is also quite spectacular. Smile

"Kiss me goodbye" is beautiful, consists of very spatial and deep sounds. Reminds me somehow Elvis Presley's hits (for example Elvis Presley - Always on my mind Wink ).

This is a really, really wonderful song! Begins like a Russian romance, in the middle guitar play reminds melodies of the "nomadic" nations of the Central Asia. But the main and quite natural association leads us to the "House of the rising Sun" by The Animals. The same "rebellious" and sentimental mood. Wink A song with a "claw" Wink and a great beat. Instrumental arrangement and vocalist's voice reminds me this big Polish hit from the 80's:
And something extraordinary sentimental Wink :
