Happy New Year 2013 to you, sleepsleep. Very Happy

Well, talking of the bed and sleeping... For the last month I've been going to bed around 3 am or even 4 am everyday and sleeping about 6-7 hours a day, so today's noises completely don't disturb me as much as it was in the past years. Wink Razz

To me, some chords of this music piece remind me of "Amaranth" by Nightwish, yeah, I can hear some similarities between these compositions. Wink

A tranquilizing, great tune; sounds like space music to me. Wink

Probably most of the people listening to this music piece must have been imagining Celtic nymphs dancing gracefully among the trees somewhere in the depths of the dark forest. Wink

The most positive and uplifting melody of your today's recommendations. I like it a lot. Smile

When I was looking for an idea that help me to find some new songs I recalled the white rose lying on the piano keyboard from the last MV and thought that's exactly what I was looking for - let roses be the main theme that can join all songs. Wink I can only hope that YONG will like these recommendations... Razz

Thanks for the roses. All are soothing & relaxing. I believe I already presented the first pair here in this thread quite some time ago. The middle Thai song does, as I mentioned before, sound like the pop songs here in HK in the 1960-70s. The last music piece is, of course, one of my all-time favorite songs. Thanks! Wink

In terms of instrumental arrangement, I still prefer the following version:

THE ROSE by Leanne Rimes

Don't be naive. 2013 is not going to be easy for us.

Both versions are good but I agree with you that the latter one is better not only in terms of instrumental arrangement but also due to the vocal. Well, Aoi Teshima sings in a very emotional way but I have some problems with understanding her words when she was whispering in the beginning and in the end of the song. Wink

Surprisingly, the tune of this music piece seemed to me quite similar to the Faye Wong's song you mentioned here over four years ago:Smile

It's very hard to describe what I exactly feel every time I watch this MV and listen to those tearful words of the lyrics. Many thoughts, many "whys" and questions that maybe aren't worth to ask loudly... Wink Anyway, it's a wonderful heart-rending ballad for sure. Smile

I think that you may like two songs presented below because they are melodious, easily get stuck in listener's head and have meaningful lyrics. Two music pieces by the Dutch duo Nick & Simon sung in a language I would like to speak fluently one day:Wink

Bro, your recommendations are the best new year presents for me. Both songs are utterly melodious, and the male vocals are nothing but powerful and passionate. Top-notch music tastes! Razz Wink
