From the music point of view these tracks are quite good despite of their "harsh" outer form. I like especially the lyrical and delicate background melody of the second song - reminds me of the Edvard Grieg's "Solveig's song" but it isn't the same melody. Anybody here knows what it could be? Wink

Commercials usually irritate me although some of them can be even funny, but... Well, this one is something extraordinary. If I had to watch TV I would like to see only commercials like that. Beautiful story with a moral (I won't determine whether the plot is probable or not, yet I like it), Pachelbel's Canon in the background and pretty ladies, full of vital energy - all of these are ingredients of the perfect MV. Here you have something special, a Bengali song that has melody adapted from that originally used for the traditional English ballad "Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes" with the lyrics written by the famous Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore:
Wikipedia wrote:
Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel Prize-winning Indian poet, adapted the tune in his poem "Katabar Bhebechinu". A popular Bengali vocalist Swagatalakhsmi Dasgupta sang both the versions.
In my humble opinion, the general character of the song fits perfectly to these days. Wink

It sounds like a festive folk song to me. Comfortable & cheerful. A truly enjoyable music piece. Wink

The MV is a bit weird and disquieting yet the Latino-like melody is very catchy. Smile

The aforementioned song reminds me of this one, considered as a classic of Zouk music:Razz Wink

Yeah, this is a very pleasant tune, like a light evening breeze in summer that brings us various smells, hardly recognizable fragments of distant talks and this characteristic feeling of expectation for something unusual that is to happen. Razz

I like attitude of the violinist to music; her mimics shows us that she apparently loves playing violin and this is simply fantastic. Smile

I remember this music theme. The mellow voice of the singer plus sentimental & easily memorable melody means perfection. Wink

MHajduk,

Quote:

Luar Na Lubre - O Son do Ar

Luar Na Lubre - O Son das Augas

Luar Na Lubre - Canteixere

I truly enjoyed these songs and others by these artists. A new group for me, but they struck a chord with me. They would fit right in on my favorite radio show: Thistle and Shamrock.

Thanks!!

farrier
