I might hear it as a 3 years old toddler but I'm not sure (yes, there is such a possibility). Wink Well, whether I heard it or not, I have to admit that this track sounds truly fantastic and fresh to me. Smile

Today I'd like to recommend something different. Maybe some of my music friends will find these music propositions interesting. Wink

I suppose that most of you aren't especially familiar with Cape Verdean music. Many, for sure, have heard of famous Cesaria Evora but I want to talk now about slightly different music genre. Suzanna Lubrano is a talented Cape Verdean Zouk songstress residing in Netherlands. Here you have three songs published on her official MySpace profile http://www.myspace.com/suzannalubrano :Enjoy! Very Happy

I was unable to play the recommended tracks because of some version problems of flash player. But I guess I am already using the latest version! What is going on? Mad Sad

Never mind. Wink

I've noticed that "reggaed" or "zouked" music pieces sound a bit better than original. I suppose that it's a result of "freeing" the rhythm from strict rules of composition. This process makes me, somehow automatically, thinking of some similarities between Jazz and Zouk when I'm listening to such tracks. Wink

If I'm not mistaken, a few minutes ago I heard a Cantonese version of the famous "Carrickfergus" song by a Hong Kong songstress (I recommended here a version by Charlotte Church some time ago). Smile

They've just performed John Denver's "Perhaps love", something I haven't heard till now (but I was able to "deduce" its title by "catching" some characteristic phrases since it has been sung in English). Wink

Hehe, they have sung something similar to "區瑞強 - 水霞" just before 11pm HKT but I'm not 100% sure. Rolling Eyes

And Cantonese "Carrickfergus" right now... Shocked Wink

Yeah. Wink In fact, the host of the radio program, Albert Au = "區瑞強" , is the singer of the song "水霞".

A long time ago, DJ Mauretto encouraged MHajduk and me to learn a musical instrument.

Here is the recapitulation:

DJ Mauretto wrote:
You [YONG] and MHajduk have a lot of passion and sensitivity for music, why not try to play an instrument?
YONG wrote:
When I watch an 3-year-old do this [skillfully playing the piano like an adult], I believe I am too old to begin learning the piano (or any other musical instrument)!
DJ Mauretto wrote:
Children do not have the same learning of an adult,
run to buy a guitar or keyboard, so again in six months,
and remember to study at least 5 hours a day.
I started at 27 years and after six months I played the piano all the inventions of Bach..
Now I'm 42

After undertaking months of painstaking freelance work, my financial position improved a lot. I am now considering the possibility of learning the keyboard piano by myself. But (a big one) there are so many uncertainties that I need to address before I can actually make up my mind! Rolling Eyes

Here are some questions that I need to address:

1. Can I learn the keyboard piano by myself? I cannot afford expensive piano lessons!

2. There are so many keyboard pianos out there. I need something portable (i.e. small) and affordable. I did some digging and found this one. But I am not sure. Any suggestions?

3. How long does it take for me (a dummy) to play like him and her? I am afraid that by then I would look like him! [BTW, I hate smokers! Mad]

Rolling Eyes Wink
