I'm interested in a Tutorials or Guides on how to learn ASM. I'm realy interested in programming and coding. Till now I mainly coded in a BASIC- like language. But I feel that its time to learn something new. But since I'm completely new to ASM and especially FASM I would be realy thankfull for guides / tutorials. I don't want a FASM-in-24-hours-Book. I mean it serious. I couldn't find anything nice when searching for it. Thanks! Smile

If you are willing to read a lot theory, and thus learn a lot for later when you can use the theory, then google for Art of Assembly book. It's free online, but it's not FASM syntax.

Otherwise, well Sad , just study examples, play with them etc...

I have learned a lot from this tutorial : http://drpaulcarter.com/pcasm/
It uses NASM+GCC but it's still a nice and clear syntax.

And download the Intel documentation, at least the instruction set reference : http://developer.intel.com/products/processor/manuals/index.htm

Intel Manuals are the foundation to a deep understanding of x86 - other tutorials are mainly rehashes of the information found there combined with environment specifics and individual style. Instructions can be researched in groups (laid out in Vol.1 Ch.5) to reduce focus and ease digestion. There are invaluable resources like the instruction encoding map, and effected flag Appendix.
