I am using Nokia 2630 and it fits me perfectly. I use it just as a phone. Any other features contradicts both YAGNI and KISS principles. Wink

Got a HTC Desire S from work last month, and it's kinda nifty. Not as efficient at sending text messages as a T9-based phone with buttons, but it's good at so much else. Integration with gmail and gcal is excellent, web browsing has come in handy a lot of times, the camera is very nice for a phone, and I've even got a SSH client for emergencies. Good stuff Smile

I vouched never to buy another one in my life.
It has been a few years now and i dont miss it too much.
I do admit these new models look like fun to have.

Two more years have passed and i still stick to my guns.

The GPS thing doesn't matter at all. Even a phone without GPS can still be located by cell tower triangulation. However since you are worried about tracking then the only solution is to either not have a cell phone, or turn it off except when you are at a place where you are already known to be (like at home or the office).

FWIW: I have a Nokia 1280. It has no GPS. And it doesn't work in the US since it is only dual band.

it been a while, since i first started this thread, mar 2008,
and now around end of 2012,

lots of things changed in mobile landscape, we got strong iphone and android with nokia about to die. Laughing

almost everyone hold android or iphone nowadays, nokia is a scorn word.

i am still using my nokia e63, (lag a bit with my 5k sms inbox & 5k sms sent)

now, i think no one will deny, phone is very important tool,
every one got one, and everyone use it wherever they go,

with more features more powers everyday,
browsing internet, video viewing, games, voip, taking photos, and much much more.

what mobile phone are you using today? please share Cool

For this last year I´ve been using Iphone 3gs... yeah, really old but works preaty nice as phone and as a toy.

Great toy, not bad phone.

Every time i´ve used iTunes I filled like I was giving a handjob to Steve Jobs, but I switched quickly to an alternative like copytransmanager or ipodshare. Not a big deal.
