how about all even...

2+4+6+8+10..... 100..
We have 2 + 4 + 6 + ... + 100 = 2*(1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 50) = 2*[50/2*(50+1)] = 50 * 51 = 2550

gauss found it at elementary school, when the teacher gave the childs a problem (add 1 to 100) assuming it would take them a lot of time to solve, gauss (8 year old) arrived with a solution in a couple of minutes:

total = N/2*(N+1)

Google search calculator gives the value for i^-i as 4.81047738. This result is inaccurate, it is only an approximation.
  1. give a more accurate value to at least 30 decimal places, and
  2. show the exact value
Bonus points for showing your full working.

i**(-i) = exp(i*pi/2)**(-i) = exp(-i*i*pi/2) = exp(pi/2) = 4.8104773809653516554730356667038

Correct.

It is interesting to see the derivation of how e gets involved. If anyone hasn't yet seen it yet, you might be surprised.

ass0, you can't cancel (1-1) because you need to divide by (1-1) = 0.
Every CPU will generate exception on this. Wink
