When painting characters on a raster device we find that certain width/height combinations do not translate well onto the screen. Most TrueType fonts can only be rendered at certain sizes and still look nice so the designers usually make a simple decision that particularly "difficult" sizes will be rounded up to the next "nice looking" size.

Nope, test is the check for any 1 bits that are set when ANDed with a mask. Wink
