Meh, every company thinks buying another will help them out. But it doesn't always (Blockbuster -> Movielink, Time Warner -> AOL).

With Microsoft not able to compete in online search/marketing and Yahoo's sales dwindling over the last five years, I can't help but see this as dinosaurs mating.

Yeah, they could evolve with some cheap and specific computer,
or cheap and specific home phone accessing Yahoo(+...) softwares,
or cheap and specific home "door bell" accessing Yahoo(+...) softwares while waiting... anyway, yahoo is not planning to build hardware with their software, so...!!!
