Thanks! Smile
Now I see that there is a yet another genre of programming i.e. Optimization!
I think I will rather be writing my C++ code without any assumption and then hire
some Optimization Professional like you (Wink) for improvements!

Gee! See how much knowledge is required to make sure your C++ code runs optimal
on Intel! And what if I needed same performance on other CPU architecture! Gosh! I will die
just learning all this stuff and may never be able to produce anything useful Sad

I will not bother optimization (at Processor level), it's way too scary/gory/dirty Shocked
I believe that you do Professional Optimization (or something like that) Smile
I hope I never have to pay you Wink (i.e. I wish I never have to optimize my
code to the last byte/cycle!)
*Really Scared of Optimization Stuff*

My post wasn't meant to scare anyone. On the contrary, I encourage developers be it assembler, C/C++, VB, .Net, whatever, to learn new things and improve their skills. If developers stagnate, the software will stagnate too, and computers will stay just a lousy substitute for a game console, electronic typewriter, and VHS recorder.

Your signature says much about your philosophy which in my opinion is wrong. Instead of "My version is 0.1, please ignore all bugs and errors." you should write:

"My version is 0.1, please report all bugs and errors so I can fix them."

Thanks levicki!
I have changed my signature, and yeah, now it seems inspirational to me!
