hi guys,
the situation is like this.

a client use an old accounting software that use floppy disk as secure key, so every time you want to open up the accounting software, you need to put the floppy disk to floppy drive to let it verify.

now, of course, the old accounting software isn't support anymore, and you couldn't buy the "floppy disk key" now coz they will force you to upgrade, and obviously they don't sell it anymore.

so, does u guys know any software that could make exact copy of that floppy disk?

with int13h it's possible.

read floppy A
save in a dos file
write on floppy A

or

read floppy A
write floppy B

this program can be made in .com within 512 bytes

thanks
somehow i got this link
http://www.towodo.com/products/floppyimage/

Quote:
Create image files of floppy disks and back (for backup, shipping or transfer). Save the image file compressed, uncompressed or as a self-extracting exe. Add descriptions to or convert your old image files. Supports DMF and other non-standard formats. Logically recreate bad sectors when writing floppy disks, allowing for an exact duplicate of your source disk to be created. The self-extracting exe can be fully customized with a picture, license agreement dialog and a text with instructions. Full support for drag-n-drop.

recreate bad sectors Smile i think that is the trick they been used.
