I would suggest starting out with the 32bit version of menuetos since there are more tutorials and resources concerning 32bit assembly available online.
For starters: read the (pdf)documentation that comes with fasm (This isn't included on the MenuetOS diskette, visit http://flatassembler.net/) Then check out example.asm and try to change some basic things like the displayed text/colors. (with the help of syscall.txt that you can find on the MenuetOS diskette) MenuetOS (currently) only supports a handful of network cards. But you can still use localhost. Read all about it in stack.txt (on the diskette) |
