www.petitiononline.com

but first search if such petition doesn't exist online. Creating second petition would be probably bad.

God, I had to read that link to figure out what edfed tried to say!!

May I wonder why Creative will respect the petition? Which legal instruments force them to release the specs for free?

On the petition page it says.

they don't broadcast these documents for evil reasons.

Mmm, dont know if evil will work. Maybe they like being evil. Twisted Evil

As of boycot, very difficult, you will need to convince a sizable share of market for it to work. Or at least make them believe that there is a sizable size of market than wont buy from them if the docs arent broadcast.

Your best bet is to find something that will make them think that is on their best interest to do so.

Maybe kidnap their dogs and cats Smile Just kidding.

ok
i understand
nobody cares about using Xfi and audigy with linux, and others...

or, i don't really explain well. i'm really not politician.
i'll find a guy who is able to put in your head that it's an important subject.
begins with creative. but finally, we get more freedom.
creative=microsoft ???

Well there you have an angle that could make them believe that is in their best interest. You just have to show that there is a sizable market on desktop linux that Creative is letting behing.

maybe i understand this current world wrongly, somehow i doubt creative would hands out their technical references even you got 300 000 signatures.

based on current world population,
http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/popclockworld.html

it still seems like small number, and perhaps took more than 50 years to gather those signatures.

i strongly suggest you to hack into their corporate server and get all those details you want.

but, if u r tat good & smart to hack into their corporate servers, perhaps it is more better to put ur time and design your own sound card and share it to the world.

good website

look there:

http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&thread.id=116332&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

it show the reality of BUSINESS.

then, if you read this and agree with me, the best is to follow daniel K, and make drivers for CL cards, with a set of insults in the help file.

we cannot let this kind of things happens.
If my memory is good, HITLER and STALINE are DEAD. then, why are they all trying to be dictators?

possible they are guilty. indead they are guilty of the industrial pollution in asia, genereating 3 eyes fishs.

electronics is good for the result it gives, but have you ever seen a production center like we have in france, near Grenoble, ST microelectronics is there, and if you see the horror it is. same problem for region where i live

this is a very little overview of what it is in reality. in facts, it covers more than 20 km². it looks like a devil dream. full of tubes, containers, factories, polluting 24h/24. not a paradize all.

if they are not guilty of proprietary control of their devices, thay are guilty of theses factories.

horrible factories.
