Hello,

Are there any nice and simple FPU tutorials. I need some basic tutorial not overbloated to learn from like: fld; faddp; fstp; ...; and how to use them for simple math.. searching the forum did not give any good results and googling results in cryptic information (for me).

Would be nice if there would be a "begginer's guide" Laughing

Best Regards,
Hicel

Hicel,

Ray Filiatreault has a site which has a tutorial on FPU usage:

http://www.ray.masmcode.com/

There you will also find a library with source code, of routines to do many things--routine and advanced--with the FPU. My favorite is the Floating point to ASCII and ASCII to floating point routines.

Also, BCD, Fixed point numbers, and complex numbers.

hth,

farrier
