A beautifull plant indeed.

Seriously did you know that the plant have many other uses, both medical and practical.

For example you can make cheap paper that does not get yellow with age, as acid based papers do. (In fact, the declaration of independence of the USA was written on Dutch Hemp). Or you can make clothes out of it, The first Levis Jeans where make from Hemp. As well as most USA flags and ropes, before the prohibition. In fact During WW2 farmers where encouraged to grew the plant.

The plant also have many medical properties.

My point, the plant is not bad. Its people make bad uses of the plant. And pharmaceuticals that prevent it from being use as cheap alternative to their obsene costly medicines.

As for illegal, previous civilizations did not such a bad problem with drugs as today. Sure, people get high, but so with alcohol an other LEGAL alternatives. But they did not the criminality induced by making it illegal. That only raises the cost of drugs and make them more desiderable, bot for consumer and producer. For example, when the constitution was enmended to make alcohol illegail, crime related to alchohol grew exponentially. When this change criminality went back to normal.

Of course making drugs legal would be like a poison pill for todays law-enforcement industry.

is it normal to be illegal for this fuckin plant?
some countries ( tinisia for exemple ) put you in prison for one year if you have only one stick

Unfortunately, no. Tomatoes and Peppers require POLLINATION. He would have had to raise bumblebees in his basement, how does that work? Maybe you are on to something here!!! Underground gardens!!! I like it! We could have underground orchards in Scandinavia, Canada, and Siberia/Mongolia.
