Man, that guy's hilarious! He should be an actor. Laughing

EDIT: Yes, I know who he is (seen this before, too), but he's still funny! Wink

Well, that's not exactly a real commercial. Each year, Microsoft holds a very large developer's conference and they usually show some "joke" video just for the developers. This one is from a developer's conference in the 80s and was never shown as a commercial, just as a joke for the conference attendees.

One of the more memerable joke videos at the conference was a recent one where the character from the Napoleon Dynamite movie meets Bill Gates, calls him a "retard" and actually slaps him hard in the face. Check it out:

ah yes ... Embarassed . thank you MHajduk. it's the American pronounciation of Napoleon that causes the error in spelling. We pronounce it, "Nae-pole- eanne" and therefore the mis-spelling. Embarassed

and this spelling mistake so soon after visiting Austerlitz where we must have seen "Napoleon" spelled a hundred of times.

hmmm.... Ballmer might have said something about "Office 2000", but he might have been referring to Microsoft providing the office tools to leap everyone into the future (in late 80's, the year 2000 was far into the future Smile ). Take a look at that PC in the demo .... notice the 5-1/4 floppy drive? And the version of Windows???? Really, really old. He mentions, "Miami Vice style" .... Miami Vice was a popular TV program here in the states 1984- 1989. Notice the address given at the end??? "P.O Box 286 DOS" Laughing

Ballmer had more hair when that video was made, believe me, that video is from the 1980s... Very Happy

There are (or can be created) special threads to chat in your own language(s).
