Hello!

Im searching for a free Virtual Machine emulator which can emulate a x86-64 Machine. It should work under 64-Bit Linux (I have only 32bit Win2k as alternative OS).

As I read in AMD's Manuals, there is no V8086 mode on AMD-64 processors in Long Mode available. Is it then possible to emulate such a machine?

Thanks for all answers,

MK

I recommend trying VMware Server, which supports both 32-bit and 64-bit guest OSes on 64-bit systems.

QEMU emulates x86-64 (like a natural!). QEMU can be configured through a batch file. And it is fast!

As an added bonus, it can emulate x86-64 on a 32-bit host.
