http://www.intel.com/products/processor/manuals/index.htm

Intel's manuals document the machine language instruction set, which can be a useful reference for asm programmers.

The manuals in adobe .pdf files are free downloads.

Where is South Carolina? Is that in Australia, or South America?

Yes, it was a kind-of vague, joke. Ref. comment, above, by Mattst88. Okay, he lists his location as South Carolina. He said, "...everybody already has... (the links I listed), so I am implying that everyone does not, just like everyone, in, say, Japan, India, China, etc. might not know where South Carolina, a small state in the USA, is.
I could add, that his comment was a form of regulation, an attempt to suppress information below the level he thinks is common knowledge, which is not altogether wrong, I don't know, but, judging from the number of views, 180 in four days, perhaps, it is not common knowledge.

Haha. Fair enough. I was just unaware that people did not know about the Intel Architecture manuals.

Please proceed Smile

Funny regardless to see a person from Georgia asking where South Carolina is Wink

That's right, my hardcopies of the manuals just arrived some weeks back, I decided to order new ones because those I had were dated 2003. The ones Intel is shipping now are five volumes, dated November 2006. I also ordered the Optimization Manual. Yes, that's very generous of Intel to send this stuff for free.

I've got them too - really good when somewhere without laptop and internet Very Happy and nothing else to do...
...who read novels these days, anyway...

Smile btw, can anyone tell me how to get to this link from intel.com in 3-easy-steps. I always look for them like 10 minutes, because I don't have them bookmarked on every single computer on earth. So I need to know the basic steps you take to navigate to this link!?
