I've just found this site: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/default01.aspx
And some info here (Brazilian portuguese): http://baixaki.ig.com.br/download/Microsoft-Silverlight.htm

It seems now Flash is not alone.
This new platform will be able to use AJAX, C#, Python, Ruby and Visual Basic.
And will have high-quality video streaming, fancy GUI's development, etc.
And it's also cross-platform.

It's still beta, but I think now Adobe/Macromedia has something to worry about.

At least I hope they will take some time in porting FlashPlayer to AMD64, the architecture was introduced many years ago but seems that Macromedia/Adobe not realised that yet...

i heard about it a while ago. They'll probably make the best tools for it on windows vista, but make the programs for all OSes. Free advertising. Reminds me of the halo2 pc outrage. New guy taking over microsoft, and clearly this guy dosn't know how to subliminally form a monopoly, which is to our advantage. If people see it comming, they might actually try to do something about it. It's a real question of how long it takes for people to realize all the things they're dong all the sudden.
