Here is an example of how it could be done (however it's just a few minutes work and it lacks a turtle)

![]() ![]() But what about cnanging it's colors to "Fresh colors" (greens, bluish greens)? |

btw, the font name is "URW Chancery L" (linux font). [EDIT] Image removed. yeah
![]() ![]() btw, I think that assembly code in splash screen is great idea... did you play UnrealTournament? when using some weapon (it was called Remeeder AFAIR), you could see assembly code scrolling on the left of your view and... it was just cool ![]() |

Well, good work scientica. Just keep going.
![]() First variant is nice too. Why not to combine both with some gradient changing fill from left to right (or up-down). And maybe the asm text should be a little more contrast. But the layout is very good. Regards. |

Great work art_sands!
![]() ![]() Only it should be smaller and actually I like the FASM source and copyright notice in the scientica's variant. Maybe you and scientica should merge your works... Regards. |

"small" does not mean a thing John. You'd better tell a size, and the guys should work at this size. For example, Art picture is great, but, say, 8 times smaller the text at bottom right would be invisible...

Hi Betov.
Yea, you are right - "small" means almost nothing. But I don't want to fix some hard limits. Art_sands, scientica, and others have an imagination and they can estimate the right size, layout, colors etc. I only can say what is my common opinion. In addition, I am not very good in graphical design at all. btw: I know you prefer functionality towards design, but, what is your opinion about Fresh logo? Regards. |

Hi Tommy.
Very good too. I am confused, what I like more... OK. Let we make a contest. I will create separate thread with a poll. Please sent to my e-mail all your works you want to appear in the contest and I will include them in the poll and in the thread for evaluating. The terms of the contest: Read in the new thread named "Fresh: site contest" Regards |

John, about "I know you prefer functionality towards design, but, what is your opinion about Fresh logo? "... I am this kind of man who buy new shoes and throw the old ones aways, when i can't walk any more with the old ones, and without having ever took any care for having them clean. Same for the cars: I buy a new one when the old can't work any more, and i have never washed, any in my whole life. Rain is enough. Hen the cobs shout at me because they can't succeed reading the car Number, i answer than i don't need to make it readable, because _I_ never read it.

Hi JohnFound,
Thank you all for appreciating my work. Thanks Betov very much. I make pictures by first thinking and imagining hard about them and then putting it together on paper. I thought about the word fresh and a leaf with some dew drops came in my mind. i began my quest for such an image and after 2 hrs of searching i found 2 contestants, of which i selected the one you saw. Fresh means lively and green or vivacious with bright "natural" colors. You possibly cannot mix such colors with CODE because it doesn't suit the idea even if it is a splash screen or logo for the iDE. However, I tried inserting it, and I didn't like the output, so I dropped it. If anybody else wanna use that image let me know. Oh, and about the copyright message I'd add that sure, but adding more text takes away the focus of the image, so I intended to keep it extremely simple. BTW, try another look at it, many may not like it, but I just made another so i put it here. Now i've color overlaid the logo with red and added a transluscent copyright message. Regards, Art |
