Because there's no compelling reason to use anything but decimal, hex and binary (and in some cases, octal) for numeric constants in your source code. If you use anything else, other people will have a hard time reading your source - especially if you start using international characters.

For the same reason, I'm very much against using non-ascii for source code, I believe comments should be in English, and anything unicode is usually better off in an external file, especially if you want to be able to localize your app).
