A low-budget courtroom drama starring Keanu Reeves:

The Whole Truth (2016)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3503406/

Reminds me of:

Primal Fear (1996)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117381/

The Devil's Advocate (1997)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118971/

Everyone lies!

Mechanic: Resurrection (2016)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3522806/

Quote:
Arthur Bishop thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.

Already watched ... because of Jessica Alba. Nice movie but the story line is a bit unrealistic -- the lead male character never dies!

Already watched. Nice movie but not as good as the other two. And I prefer "Angels & Demons" to "The Da Vinci Code".

I liked it, despite some bad reviews i still think it was a nice action-mystery movie. I might see it again. Felicity Jones is beautiful.

I am looking for similar movies, with riddles and puzzles such as the National Treasure, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, e.t.c

The latest reboot of Godzilla:

If you know a little bit about Japanese culture and politics, you will definitely find this movie fun to watch.

A low-budget sci-fi horror movie with a little twist at the end:

Morgan (2016)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4520364/

It reminds me of Ex Machina (2015). Sadly, there are no nudity scenes! Laughing

^^Watchable thriller, Kate Mara is sweet even as a cold corporate risk-management consultant Smile
I had my suspicions about this twist since the beginning.

Honestly, the movie may be good, but speaking for myself, it's horrible for the simple fact that it sounds like an old movie, both sound and music. To me sound is very important part of a movie. There's one type of sound/music I just cannot stand and that's "old" music. By that I mean most music before the 90s (not all, some are decent).

Yeah I know a lot of old people are nostalgic about it. But I'm not, and couldn't care less how "they did so much with the little technology they had". In the end, I'm listening to the music, not how they struggled to do it. Note that by old music I don't mean old as in old composed music, though I think most classical music simply doesn't fit much in a movie. If it's a new recording it should sound good.

Most old music is beyond simplistic. And no I'm not a fan of most mainstream crap either, I love movie soundtracks but they have to be deep and complex, not simple because "limited by technology", nor sound like played through a 50s radio (yuck!!!).

So yeah, the music and sound itself puts me way off that movie. They tried to make it sound like the original, so what's the point of a reboot then? And here I thought it would be the original Godzilla but adapted to proper music/sound we have these days. Bad sound = ruined movie for me.

Dream of the Red Chamber, also called The Story of the Stone, composed by Cao Xueqin, is one of China's Four Great Classical Novels. It was written sometime in the middle of the 18th century during the Qing Dynasty.

In the opening chapter of the novel, a couplet is introduced:

假作真時真亦假,
無為有處有還無。

Truth becomes fiction when the fiction's true;
Real becomes not-real where the unreal's real.

In fact, I quite liked the 2014 version because of the lead actress, Cassi Thomson.

See if I can watch the 2016 version soon.
