Orange
http://animedao.me/anime/orange/

Quote:
One day, Naho Takamiya receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Kakeru Naruse. The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.

Sweetness and Lightning

Quote:
Kouhei Inuzuka is a teacher who has been caring for his little daughter on his own since his wife's death. He's no good at cooking, so he and his daughter Tsumugi have been eating packaged meals from the convenience store. A series of events lead him one evening to a restaurant run by the mother of one of his students, Kotori. Her mother isn't there, but Kotori does her best to feed them both. It turns out Kotori is often alone since her parents are divorced and her mother is frequently not around. The three of them begin to meet and cook tasty food together.

i hope it motivates me to learn cooking,

Plan to watch this animation:

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0856797/

Maybe the fictional society has something to do with solid state drives.

Here is a romantic film that explores the meaning of life:

Me Before You (2016)

Like many other films that talk about euthanasia, this movie has received a backlash:

Life is never easy.

this is actually a very good movie,
the scenery, the castle, the inner house decoration, all very beautiful.

Emilia Isabelle Euphemia Rose Clarke[1][2] (born 23 October 1986[3]) is an English actress.

beautiful lady, but i sort of find her acting a little bit un-natural, especially when she tries so hard to squeeze wrinkles on her forehead, but who cares, she is pretty anyway

euthanasia,
The painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. The practice is illegal in most countries.

i hope they do this to animals, instead of butcher and slaughtering them.

Well, she is still young, as far as both her age and acting experience are concerned. I am sure that she will improve as she gains more life experience.

following these series,

The Last Ship
Quote:

The crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic kills off most of the earth's population.

Dark Matter
Quote:

The six-person crew of a derelict spaceship awakens from stasis in the farthest reaches of space. Their memories wiped clean, they have no recollection of who they are or how they got on board. The only clue to their identities is a cargo bay full of weaponry and a destination: a remote mining colony that is about to become a war zone. With no idea whose side they are on, they face a deadly decision. Will these amnesiacs turn their backs on history, or will their pasts catch up with them?

Here you have a war film:

1939 Battle of Westerplatte (2013)

Historical facts:

The well-equipped German soldiers outnumbered their Polish counterparts by over 15 times. Still, the latter defended their ground for 7 days.

Just watched. I am pleasantly surprised by the story, which explores the far-reaching consequences of an aging population -- a problem facing many developed countries right now. This is more than just an animated film for entertainment. Highly recommended.

You may find it a bit difficult to comprehend, given your alien nature.

On Earth, most educated fellows try their best to conduct themselves in a respectable manner. The same applies to this movie thread. When a movie catches the attention of a forum member, he/she would leave a message about the movie on this thread so that other members may benefit from it even though the poster himself/herself may not have the time or opportunity to watch the movie immediately. And of course, if the poster actually has the time/opportunity to watch the movie later, he/she would then post his/her remarks/comments in another message.

Most earthlings would not consider that redundant. Kryptonians may have a different point of view.
