I have not watched any animation films for quite some time. So I gave the following a try when it came out. To my surprise, the story was intriguing and I really liked the girl character named "Raven".

I am a Monk (ボクは坊さん。)
Quote:
A light-hearted comedy about ordinary people and their extraordinary work as monks.

After the death of his grandfather, 24-year-old Susumu inherits the mantle of Abbot at Eifuku-ji, a Buddhist temple in Shikoku. He faces the same challenges of anyone starting a new job: earning trust and respect, making important decisions, and even picking out new clothes. However, he doesn’t quite live up to his community’s expectations as a spiritual leader.

This is a frank and honest coming-of-age story about a young man who gradually finds meaning in a profession that he had expected to abandon. I am a Monk is optimistic and cheerful, punctuated by tragedies that serve as reminders of reality for the audience.

Already watched. It is a nice action movie. I would say it is even better than the first one, "Olympus Has Fallen".

While I do not play video games, I have to say the following short film is truly fantastic:

Luciferous (2015) - Not bad. For horror junkies.
The 5th Wave (2016) - A sci-fi romance film for the whole family. Love it.

Already watched. I would say it is a nice movie. But there have been too many such films lately -- the Hunger Games series, the Maze Runner series, the Divergent series, and so on. I am starting to get bored by motion pictures with "a whole bunch of teenagers running around all the time". Wink

Already watched. I wish the film placed a much greater emphasis on the rescue mission itself. I would say the best part of the film is how the crew of sailors try their best to fix and navigate the torn-apart ship. Wink

I first found out about Ip Man on this board. I've watched it like a dozen times already. The second part as well. But the third film was disappointing. Yeah, beautiful fight scenes, but the plot is ugly. They mixed everything in a heap like were adding while filming. And Tyson looks ridiculous in China. Didn't enjoy it
