I watched this movie a few days ago. The zombies are like fast-moving robots; the temporary "cure" found (near the end of the movie) sounds non-plausible to me. I would say it is a nice zombie movie -- but definitely not an epic. Wink

I watched this a few weeks ago. The first half of the movie is actually quite good while the second half is average to poor. Not recommended. Wink

You may find this movie a bit boring, as it is "a moral tale disguised as a sci-fi blockbuster". Wink

The CG is very nice, and the story even touches my motherland (HK)! It would be something entertaining for you, I guess. Wink

Well, do not expect complicated plot or twisted dialogues in that movie.
The idea is very simple: fight giant monsters with giant robots.
That's it.

But hey, with those giant robots, what's not to love?
Very Happy

Pacific Rim
Nice, just finished watching it,

Recall back, I could only remember the following scenes,
fighting on the ports, ship grabbed,
into the alien dimension,
waterless environment, blast after nuclear shockwave,
the girl checking the guy through her door hole,

nice movie overall,

getting i spit on your grave (2009)

finished watching sound of my voice (2011)
nice story, based on future time traveler....

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1748207/

first, i don't think time exists,
changes occurred, time invented to track changes just like numbers are created as a symbol to deal quantity.

dimension traveler seems more possible imo,

I'd like to recommend all of you a Polish animated film that tells the story of the ancient town Świteź hidden under the waters of the lake bearing the same name located in today noth-western Belarus. The film plot is based on local folk tales and refers to the ancient times (in the movie those are middle ages where the main character of the film has been mysteriously transmitted from the 19th century) when the flourishing and wealthy town existed on the place of today's beautiful lake. During one of wars enemy forces threatened the existence of the town. All men able to carry armour sent to the battlefield outside to defend Świteź died and the enemy army besieged the town that cannot be defended by remained citizens. When the fate of the town seems to be sealed suddenly the whole area with all buildings, defenders and aggressors collapses and drowns in the waters coming out from the ground. Souls of the citizens of the ancient town transform into water flowers of uncommon beauty that grow on the lake shores till this day and remind of this dramatic story.

The lake Świteź (Belarussian name Свіцязь) is a karst lake almost ideally circular in shape and most probably was created by a gigantic collapse of the cave vault. Hence the folk tales transmitted to this time a remembrance of a real event that had occurred somewhere in the distant past. The rare toxic plants that may be found on the shores of the lake are rather uncommon to the surrounding areas and their mysterious nature with no doubt inspired authors of the legend who added such a poetic final to the whole story.

Here you have an interview with the authors of the movie (English subtitles):

http://youtu.be/mQiZMwsBSrQ

And here the animated film itself (about 20 minutes in length) by Kamil Polak, music by Irina Bogdanovich:

Don't miss the following sci-fi epic:

It is the philosophical layer, not the fantastic CG, that makes me rate this film 5 out of 5.
