I am german and I have to learn english too.
Fortunately I also learned russian at scool...

Perhaps the native english speaking people should begin to learn other languages too...

U have to remember we are americans we eat red meat, like our gas guzzling cars, and everything should be english. U wanna know when americans will learn english, when other countries lol come up with some invention that only works in their language. Becuz so far there havent been any software or anything that requires languages other than english. SO... Good luck on the russian version I hope it kicks some linux and windows ass.

To Ripside2:
This is not the point.

If YOU want to understand something, published in a foreign language, YOU have the equal rights to learn this language, rather than force all other people to publish only in YOUR language!

Americans often get taught Spanish in school so they can visit & communicate with border countries.
Also French is taught, because it's a tourist destination.
Other languages like German & Itialian (sp) are available
but Russia has been a place we haven't been able to visit in the past,
so it doesn't get taught in High school that I'm aware of.
Expecting the world to speak english because it is my local language
and all I know, would be a wrongfull additude of course.
I believe that eventually the world will speak one language.
But it will probably be a mixture of the dominate languages of today.
Now that the great land of Russia is available to visit,
it might become available to high school students here in USA
in hopes that comunication will narrow the gaps between us & all countries.
There are good people every where you go. (Canned Heat)

-teper:
importance of using russian are growing! but 20 years ago the political situation was not so bright and clear as now.
All those cases was connected with Cold War between Russia and USA,
so don't do another Cold War on this board, please.
