And what for? PowerPC not so popular platform that under one it was meaningful to develop the compiler. It unless when will not be ANY problems with x86-platform or as a hobby Smile IMXO

As far that I know FASMARM http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=4191 is supposed to compile for ARM based Processors, but it needs an x86 machine to run.

There is an assembler called -> fantasm, that assemble's power-pc assembly code, it requires a power-pc mac to run though. Another problem is it hasn't been maintained since 2004, but it is now open source therefore free.

Here is the link

Hi, yes, fasmarm is a cross assembler.

mastek: Do you want a PowerPC cross assembler or do you want the whole of fasm ported to run on the PowerPC?

In fact MAC pass on Intel-based platform. And on the other hand, you can buy to yourself newer MAC and use FASM for x86 Wink

OpenWatcom 1.6 has a PowerPC assembler (WASPPC.EXE, version 0.3, under \BINW).

Also the Xbox 360 from M$ uses a PowerPC-based CPU, since the Intel CPU in the previous Xbox was not "efficient" enough, so now we got the prove that even M****S**t finds x86 based CPU unefficient Laughing

And I find it more important that the PlayStation 3's Cell processor got a Power-PC based main/supervisor CPU.
