I wonder if it got Kernel Patch Protection added to it. You mentioned about it in a post. I need to find out too, so I have the same question. Someeone may knows already.

If so, that makes Microsoft more sneaker than ever. I don't want that on my XP. And it would be the end of Win95 version 12/NT style. It would not be a true Operating System for programmers anymore. It would be nothing more than a big CODE BLOCKER that runs MS$ products and a few friends if they play ball. If so, I will be switching and putting my time in the next most popular OS.

AFAIK KPP is only implemented on x64 versions. It is already in XP if you are using XP x64.

ive installed sp3 and had a good experience with installation
and no problems using it so far.

i went looking to see if anything else had changed and i noticed
they have used the vista icons and font for some things. nothing
major, so i can get over it Smile but i still cant see why they cant use
the xp alternatives which are already on the system, and all
the other programs use.

have a good day

I also installed SP3 on my machine, and it works well. Haven't noticed any significant changes (at least so far).

I have just upgraded and the only blue I saw was a scandisk screen for a few milliseconds(not enough to scan any drive) and the background(Windows 2000 style). Nothing I use broke. but nothing feels better either.
I could add that the initial installation process spent a minute checking for a pirated version. I guess this is the "trust" in trusted computing.

I installed it about a week ago. Everything seems to work fine, haven't noticed anything.
