comrade
I repeatedly get e-mails saying someone keeps requesting a password reset on my account.

Can the moderators please track down this person and give me all the information they have on the shithead doing this?

Nothing on me either. Maybe you 2 have a few enemies.

EDIT: and those names do look a little common, some one probably tried to register your names, realized they were taken, and thought that they may have already registered.

"comrade" is a pretty common word, but "scientica"? Hmmm, dunno, maybe. (Plus, the fact that vid hasn't been e-mailed yet rules out the possibility of an attack on all moderators here). Face it, spam is a big problem. Rolling Eyes

scientica isn't all that uncommon. I don't know if scientica is a science fiction person or not, but if i wanted a spacious name, i would have picked scientica. If vid wasn't a mod, i'd probably be surprised if he didn't get the same thing. Vid could be short for video. I'm sure if we had a user named "Knuckles" he would have the same issue.

Just for the record, I haven't received any reset requests either... if somebody was trying to do personal attacks, I'm sorta surprised I haven't been targetted Wink

scientica is latin (at least I think Razz), it means science. I took it cause it sounded kinda nice, though, recently I've also started using mojibake (my 1st fallback nick on IRC (<-- hidden ad for our channel att FreeNode: #flatassembler )). (but I'm probably going to stick to scientica on forums, as changing nicks tends to create a lot of confusion :/ (whish I could symlink scientica to mojibake Razz) )

*mojibake = 文字化け(もじばけ) = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojibake Smile
note@self: must find an (j)IME that actually works in every app...
