Hey everybody,

I've been learning asm over the past year or so (at leisure), and I feel that I am getting somewhat competent in it (AKA a step or two above newbie). But I have been having some issues over the past couple of days. I have been doing hours of research on VESA programming, and I have found some very useful information. Sadly, what I am lacking is an ACTUAL TUTORIAL, with source code.

I was wondering if anybody could point me toward some really good VESA programming tutorials/*well commented* source code for FASM? I would really appreciate some help on this one (especially since I haven't been able to find anything to help me) Smile

HI jincS, I see you have joined the DexOS forum Cool.

I have done some vesa tuts that may help (all with fasm code).
This demos set up vesa and goes to pmode and switch modes in pmode.
http://www.dex4u.com/tuts/DemoVesa.zip
This is the same, but demos displaying a high-res bmp image using vesa from pmode.
http://www.dex4u.com/tuts/BmpView.zip
Also see my CdPod as the code in that may help.
A mini pmode OS with vesa support, thats less than 512bytes

Awesome! Yeah, I was going to ask the same question there, but I didn't feel that it was the right place.

Thanks again!

aaah Razz Bueno de todos modos sigo sin poder traducirlo no por no entenderlo sino por no saber como traducirlo (Google dice que es "then nothing" pero no me convence).

Saludos!!

aaah Razz Well anyway I'm still unable to translate it not because of not understanding it but because of don't know how to translate it (Google says that is "then nothing" but it doesn't convince me)
